I started working on my family genealogy in 1983. It was slow going back then...writing lots of letters and then waiting for weeks for replies, especially internationally. So much easier when computers and the internet came along!!!|
A big thanks to all the wonderful members of Findagrave.com for all the help and support they give. I live in Portland, Oregon, but most of my family came from the East Coast, so it's difficult for me to travel to cemeteries there. I hope to receive grave photos from volunteers all over the U.S. and in turn will do my part to honor the requests of others for ancestors in the Portland metro area.
I've just started taking photos for other members. It pains me to drive by a cemetery knowing that there are photo requests for graves there. Please feel free to use my photos in any way you like (no need to ask permission).
Some surnames in my family are: Triglia, Gemignani, Ceru', Ramocki and Gortowski – a combination of my Polish mother's side and my Italian father's side. If I ever make it to the small Tuscan village of Gombitelli in Italy (Toscana, Lucca), I would like to take photos of all the tombstones at the San Michele church graveyard there since my father's side of the family has resided there for over 300 years.
PLEASE… If you make a photo request for a larger cemetery, try to call the cemetery office for the plot location. Photo volunteers are overwhelmed by hundreds of requests and almost none with locations. The plot location is infinitely helpful, saves me time and allows me to look for more graves at each cemetery!
Good luck to everyone in their search and best wishes.

you're welcome although your Giuseppe was a "dupe" memorial for an original created in 2009, I moved the photo over to the original.

Hello Dennis, I've send you an e-mail (e-mail address you have in your profile) with some additional information. By Leo I found other people with same last name.

Dennis, thank you for your time and effort in the snow trying to find a marker, J.A. Drost. I can/will always wait for better weather.

Thank you for your suggestions for Jack and Adelaide Triglia. I deleted the memorial I had for Jack and contacted seacowz and he added "Jack" onto Giacomo's memorial.
I made Adelaide's memorial and will be turning it over to you because I really feel that family member's have the capability of taking care of the memorial better than those of us who are just trying to photograph and document a cemetery. Please take good care of it and thanks for contacting me.

Thanks for finding these graves and taking these photos. The photo on Franco Baratta posted twice possibly because it was downloading slowly and you hit the download button again - this happens. Would you mind removing one of the photos - just click on one and it will open and you can click on delete and approve the deletion and it will disappear. I see you are new to this great website - welcome:) We have fun and help each other and others who are looking for friends and family.
