RE: Wilhelmine and Johann David
Marba,

You are very welcome, glad to help. You may use the photo of your great-great grandparents tombstone in your Family History.

I believe that we are related.

Sincerely,
Sandi

RE: Rodewald Photo
When shooting photos for Find a grave I sometimes come upon familiar names from other cemeteries but don't know how they are related. If you want to take over this post please do. I am not related to this family.

RE: Jaacks
Hi Marba,

I am not technically related to the Jaacks family, however, the maiden name of my Aunt (the wife of my Mom's brother) was Jaacks. You know how it is when you get started with genealogy, it's hard to know where to stop branching out.

I, too, was intrigued by the adoption of Frank Sanders. If I can remember, I believe I saw it in an old newspaper article when I was searching on ancestry.com. I don't have any further info on him.

Please feel free to copy any photos that would help you out. I believe that genealogy is meant to be shared.

It was good to hear from you again and I appreciate your kind comments.

RE: Sophie Grewemeyer Sanders
Hi Marba,

You and I have actually communicated before a few years ago on ancestry.com. (I am kwmed on ancestry and my tree name is "Life Goes On, formerly Tree of Life.") Your great grandfather, Louis Sanders, and my great-great grandfather, George Sander (1847-1909) were brothers.

While I am descended from the Sander line on my dad's side, you are from the Sanders. At present I have no documents showing the name change. Would there have been any? I know in my mother's lineage, her maiden name originally had 2 n's at the end of her last name, but her father dropped one of them. I don't believe there was anything official - just someone deciding to write it the way they wanted. Perhaps Louis did the same thing way back when? Just a thought...

Nice to hear from you again.

Sophie Grewemeyer's daughter
Thank you for catching my mistake regarding the parentage of Clara, the illegitimate daughter of Sophie. I had the information and meant to correct it earlier. I have since updated the information. If there is any other information I might have entered incorrectly, please don't hesitate to let me know.
