I began doing genealogy about 16 years ago when I wanted to learn more about my family. I didn't want just the dates of when they were born and when the died. I wanted to know who they were, what they did and what they looked like. I had no pre conceived notion of what I expected to find. I've had many surprises along the way. Researching family is exciting, you never know what you may find or where it may be.Families that I am researching include: Albrecht, Armstrong, Babcock, Backen/Bakken, Barry, Berntsen, Bingham, Blanchard, Blege, Bloom, Bridgeman, Briggs, Carlson/Karlsson, Cater, Chambers, Christen, Clark, Cook, Curfman, Daly, DeLong, Denno, Depew, Deskins, Dickson, Drury, Edwards, Evans, Field, Foster, Frost, Gee, Goold, Gray, Griswold, Grondahl, Heath, Heider, Hunt, Jackson, Jensen, Johnson, Jossy,Kembel,Kidd, Kirchgessner/Kirchgaessner, Kirk, Kyhl, McCormick, McDonald, McGougan, McLaughlin, McLelland/McClelland, Meeker, Merkel, Moody, Molgard, Mortensen, Oleson, Persky, Phelps, Porter, Rasche, Rathbun, Reese, Rising, Rhodes, Rood, Royal, Rupp, Sisson, Standish, Starr, Stephens, Tefft, Thaut, Treadway, Tulin, Turnbull, Wentz, Williams, Winden, Wood, Yerger. I volunteer at Heritage Quest Genealogical Research Library in Sumner, Washington. HQRL.com. You are welcomed to use pictures for personal use only.|

So nice to find a cousin! I have been working on my family tree for years. It's always great when I run into someone that can help shed light on your family.
Frank Stephens (Amanda's husband) is my 2G Grandfather. They had the three children you mentioned Elsie, Gladys (my gg), and Orange. If you are interested I have copies of photos of Frank and Amanda. I also have a bit of biographical information about them. Frank and his father were both well respected farmers in Van Buren County, Michigan. I also have a copy of a photo of Mary Ann Armstrong and Orange Stephens (Franks parents).
Eliot Armstrong and Eleanor Phelps are my 5G Grandparents.
I am curious about your Tefft line. Do you have any other Michigan connections other than Amanda and Frank? I would love to share all the information that I have!
Amanda Stephens is my 2x great grandmother. I saw that you added her today. I didn't know if she was a relative of yours or not.
I was reading through the lines that you have been researching and I saw several names from my line as well.

I am researching Richard Armstrong - his daughter, Frances was married to my 2nd gr-grandfather, Lyman Lamphere. Saw your Find-a-grave listing and wondered if you have any more info on Richard, Mary Bewes Armstrong. Ann Lamphere

Had to look her up and double check with my files. I have a West line that is in CA. and came from the mid west. Guess I'm getting too old! Can't remember who is or is not related. So Grace was updated and passed on to you. Best Wishes, Lettie
