Joseph Solock, 84, of 3

Center Street, Warren, Pa.,

died Saturday morning, De-

cember 29, 2007 at the Warren

General Hospital after an ex-

tended illness.

He was born April 3, 1923

in Sheffield, Pa., to the late

John and Bertha Andrie

Solock. He has resided in

Warren, Pa., since 1945 and

was a 1940 Graduate of Shef-

field High School.

He had served as a Gunners

Mate 3rd Class with the U.S.

Navy during World War II. He was employed as a pipe fitter foreman for 37 1/2 years at United Refinery Company, retiring from there in 1985.

Joe was a member of the

Emmanuel United Church of

Christ and the church Em-

manuel Class, Warren Senior

Community Center, Lake-

wood Rod and Gun Club and

Warren Eagles. He was an avid

golfer, fisherman and cribbage

player.

He is survived by one son,

Doug J. Solock and his wife,

Cheryl, of Hermitage, Pa.; one

sister, Irene Solock of Shef-

field, Pa.; two grandchildren,

Sandy Crupi of Allentown, Pa.

and Sonia Soifer of Santa Fe,

N.M.; five

great-grandchildren, Jason

and Adam Crupi of Allen-

town, Pa., Rebecca, Issac and

Gideon Soifer of Santa Fe,

N.M.; and several nieces and

nephews.

In addition to his parents,

he was preceded in death by

his wife, Martha A. Dahler

Solock, whom he married

April 14, 1945 in Marcus

Hook, Pa., who died March

15, 2005; four brothers, John,

Mike, Andy and George

Solock; and three sisters, Su-

san and Ann Solock and Mary

Corbran.

Friends may call at the

Donald E. Lewis Funeral

Home, Inc., 304 East Street,

Warren, Pa., on Monday from

11 a.m. until 1 p.m., when a

funeral service will be con-

ducted by Rev. Neil Siefert,

pastor, Emmanuel United

Church of Christ, officiating.

Interment will be in Warren

County Memorial Park.
