|I began researching the Lyons and Farmer families with some regularity in 2009. |
The Lyons family came to Kentucky in the early 1800's from Virginia to Hancock County, Kentucky. Some records indicate that the 5 Great Grandfather and his family was part of a 'traveling church', which moved westward to avoid persecution. My branch of the family remained in Kentucky, but drifted regionally to Hopkins, Henderson, and Webster Counties.
The Farmer family appears to have migrated from South Carolina to Tennessee in the early 1800's and to have moved farther north to Christian and Hopkins County Kentucky.

Robert, I went to that Find A Grave cemetery to check out all the Bookers. I saw Babe Booker, but I haven't been able to find her in my family tree. I'll keep checking to see who she belonged to.

Robert, thank you for the great picture of George's gravestone. It's very much appreciated....especially if you've had to get out in the rain as we have in Mississippi!
