I was editing information on findagrave and I had the window open for my yahoo email so I was able to post the information. That is an interesting obit.

Thanks for the obituary!
I added the article on the dollins. Several Dollins are related to me. Did not know about the newspaper.

|Jim Davis||George Foster Platt|
I obtained the location info from the cemetery office but Mr Platt must be unmarked - I walked the entire section and part of the adjoining one with no luck. Do you know if there is a connection to Lousia Platt Holcomb #151474391 ? She was on the line of the two sections and there were several "empty" spots to her left. If you can verify a connection I can post a photo of the grass, where he should be marked, next to Louisa. take care,Jim (I also sent you an edit to add his location info to his memorial page).

Been a while since I last talked to you.
I submitted an edit for Daniel Thomas Stokes (Beasley). It might look wrong that his surname was Stokes and his father was a Beasley.
He was a son of James T Beasley and Mollie Stokes Beasley. When Mollie, oldest daughter Ida, and son Louie all died of a fever within a month of each other in 1898, Daniel was adopted by his maternal uncle Charles A Stokes and maternal aunt Nancy Ellen Beasley (they were married) and his surname changed to Stokes.
I put the info under his bio, do not feel right changing his last name, I gather he was adopted as stated above and looks like he went by the Stokes name. :-)

I haven't been able to find anything more about them. I would suggest getting his Civil War pension records. I should clear up everything.

The pension index has his widow's name as Envetta. I have not seen this particular pension, so I don't know any more than that. I can't seem to find her at all.
