I am a Mayflower Descendant through both of my paternal grandparents. My maternal grandparents are Irish-American and French-Canadian respectively. I have visited MANY gravesites on my fathers side of the family but only a couple on my mothers end. My Irish grandfather was born to an Irish immigrant. My French-Canadian grandmother was born in Manchester, New Hampshire to Canadian immigrants. So, that makes me a 1/4 Irish, a 1/4 French and a 1/2 "Yankee!" according to my dad.|

Thanks for allowing me to use your photo(s) in my ancestry.com family tree. Francis Cooke was my 8th great grandfather. I am descended through his son Jacob who married Damaris Hopkins, daughter of Mayflower passengers Stephen Hopkins & Elizabeth Fisher.
I also have some Johnsons in this line, including Robert (1687?-1758?)& his daughter Jane
(1716-1752). I have a couple of brick walls in the Johnson line, and would love to see if you have information that may help me break through them.
Send me your email address and I will invite you as a contributor to my MORGAN family tree as well as send you my complete lineage from Francis to see if we are connected to anyone more recent than Francis.
Mine is firstname.lastname@example.org

You said Calvin Holden was buried in Westminster Cemetery but I can't find that one. Do you mean Woodside?
|Peter Morgan||RE: Dolly Whitney|
Hi Cousin Tom,
Thank you for taking the photo of the marker for Dolly Whitney & Asa Holden.
Dolly's eldest brother Oliver was my 3rd great grandfather, so we have common ancestors are our 4th great grandparents, Joshua Whitney & Vashti Knight, making us 5th cousins.
I am indeed descended not only from Richard Warren, but also from Francis Cooke, as well as Stephen Hopkins & Elizabeth Fisher. I have not yet been certified because I have been too busy over the past 2 years in discovering ancestors and growing my tree from 85 persons to almost 2000. Along the way I have become a findagrave contributor and that has distracted me from plowing full steam ahead with my tree and getting together all the certification necessary to become certified. The Society has accepted my lineage through the first 5 generations.
May I have your permission to use the photo in my ancestry.com family tree? I usually credit the photographer by writing under the picture something like "Photo taken by findagrave.com contributor Tom Towle & used here with his written permission." I am happy to modify this statement if you wish. Let me know.
I have a number of genealogical questions about some of this branch of the family that I would love to ask.
Should you wish to cut out the middleman, my direct email address is email@example.com

I noticed you posted Calvin Holden's marriage certificate to Dolly's Whitney's memorial (87220329). I was wondering if you could take it off of her memorial and move it to Calvin's (120804124) which I just made. The Dolly you linked to was the 1st Dolly born to Joshua and Vashti and who only lived a year or so. Calvin's mother was actually the 2nd Dolly and I have already linked him to the 2nd Dolly (120801622).
I would be glad to transfer Calvin's memorial over to you if you want. Let me know. Also, do you know where he is buried?

I just double checked the information on Thomas F. Walsh which I posted to Find-a-Grave and it is correct directly from his death record. I use the website www.familysearch.org - it is quite amazing and totally free. They have lots of original town records on there. Here is a link to Thomas F.'s death cert.:
He is 37 not 51 like your Thomas F. and his father is John not Thomas A.
He likely could be a cousin, I'm not sure.
You should feel free to start creating memorials. You have proof from the obituary that your grandfather is also buried in this cemetery. It is really easy to add a person to the website.
Just click on the cemetery name. Make sure you're logged in and then click "Add a name to this cemetery" and begin typing.
I will transfer your great-grandfather too you. You can delete the obituary from the non-relative and add it to the memorial you create for him. To delete just click on the obituary and the top right should say Delete.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Welcome to Find-a-Grave. I can transfer your grandfather's memorial to you if you'd like - just let me know. I saw you added the great photo of him. You could add bio info and change dates/names if you are the manager of a memorial.
I'll fix the middle initial as you requested.
