RE: Frank L singer
Sounds like a challenge. Are you a member of ancestry.com? My recommendation is to begin where you know (parents, aunts/uncles, grandparents, cousins) and work your way back. The U.S. Census should tell you quite a bit of information. I'd think the 1940, 1930, 1920, 1910, & 1900 census' for Dearborn Co. would be quite helpful. Also the social security death records could have something useful. There are also some free online genealogy programs that would probably help too.

I am not related to the Singers - I used to live in Bright, IN, had some extra time, so I went to various cemeteries, usually to fill photo requests, and while there created some memorials. I've since retired and moved to Florida and am slowly transferring my memorials. I recorded 5 Singer memorials in Saint Leon. Since you are more than likely related I'd much rather transfer them to relatives - seems more personal that way. Please reconsider and I'll transfer all 5 to you. Regards, Dan

RE: Frank L singer
Hello, as creator of the memorial my input, and ability to add/change information other contributors choose to post is limited. In this instance I created the Frank L. Singer memorial and did not post a spouse. However the contributor who created the Otella Singer memorial believed Otella to be the spouse of Frank. Once posted the Find-a-Grave system then automatically ties the two names (actually memorial #s)and posts the relationship simultaneously on both memorials. I am unable to change/edit that relationship; the contributor who created the Otella Singer memorial would have to make that change.

Hope I explained that well enough. Regards, Dan Stropes

P.S. I note that you have no memorials to date - if you are related to Frank L. Singer and are willing I'd be glad to transfer maintenance of this memorial to you - just let me know.

RE: Henry Telker
I grew up in Indiana - Decatur County - and my sister and I spent many a Sunday afternoon driving down to Dearborn County and roaming though cemeteries looking for our relatives. So the handwritten notes were our records from the cemeteries we visited.

My Canfield family settled Dearborn County back in 1800, so we have mingled with many of the other old pioneer families through the years.

Since retiring, I have made two trips back to Indiana to photograph some of those old cemeteries - back in 2010 and this past May when I went back for my 50th High School Class reunion. I spent 8 days photographing Greendale cemetery. Wow, what a task!

I've had quite a bit of help when I first got started on the Findagrave website, so I am happy to pass along what I have learned to a newcomer like yourself to the Find A Grave website.

It you would like to know some of my helpful hints we can correspond through direct email rather than this public one if you like.

You can contact me directly at dchintx@gmail.com

RE: Henry Telker
I changed the date to 1938 and hope the June 10 was still correct. Let me know if I should delete that, also.

The children are linked to the parents, so someone else who has the records for the two children made those links.

I could always add more info to his bio, like names of children that aren't linked, etc. if you have any of that info.

My original info was done from some VERY old notebooks of hand written records that my sister and I did back in the 50s and 60s. When I found the Findagrave website about 3 years ago I finally found a good place for all those old records, but sometimes it was hard to decipher our writing!

I'm retired now, so I'm quite willing to make additions or corrections to any of my records. And, of course, if these are your direct line ancestors, I'm also willing to make transfers to you. But I see that you are a brand new Findagrave member and, so I'm not sure how active you plan to be, so just let me know. I'm here to help you.
