Hi could you be able to amend the name of Joan Frances Cosgrove Van't Wout as you have Csogrove.
Thank you for that.

Hi Thanks for maintaining the records - an error in this entry though, that needs updating.
Lucy Jane Lucas 1840 – 1860
John Hurd Lucas 1844 – 1858
Ellen Elizabeth Lucas 1848 – 1940
I believe that she was not the mother of Ellen Elizabeth as Ellen Elizabeth was born a year or more after she died.

One hell of a blond moment for me sorry. I have fixed them and have also put thru some edits for you.
Sorry about that, I normally double check, but at least I know I am human now.

Sorry to hear about your granddad - my condolences.
You're doing a stunning job in getting memorials up and I think your system of using photographs as the starting point is a good one. So, as far as Wakapuaka is concerned, I thought I would just bring those memorials without a photograph up to date. I'm down to six!! Four of those I have written to findagrave about as they shouldn't be attached to Wakapuaka but I can't get any response from the owners. The last two are 'your' Nga Bouka Elmslie and JKHansen's mysterious Elizabeth Ledger King. Not sure what to do about Elmslie. I don't imagaine that she is at Wakapuaka because she died before it was open. So, the reference in the NZTEC publication is (I believe) referring to Wakapuaka as a district rather than a specific cemetery. In those days Wakapuaka was an area from roughly the Glen over to Delaware Bay (where her husband is buried). So, she is probably somewhere there I would think. As I am sucker for a mystery, I might spend a few minutes seeing if the Genealogy records down in Trafalgar Street shed any light on Mrs King and let JKH know if I find anything. Keep that camera popping!! :-) Jonty

|Jonty||Jessie and Annie Black|
Hi - me again :-)
Continuing on my project to get photos for the few remaining memorials at Wakapuaka that don't have them, I came across your memorials for Jessie Black (#124026034)and Annie Black(Fairfield #105380478). There is another memorial #147701333 that I have established for Jessie with links to her parents, husband and daughter and a photograph of her headstone (BP02036). So, your memorial can safely be deleted unless you would prefer to keep it, update the links and infomation and I will transfer my photograph and delete my memorial.
As regards Annie, you have her linked as Jessie's sibling and buried at Fairfield. Annie is actually Jessie's daughter and was moved from Fairfield to Wakapuaka to be alongside her parents Jessie and Robert. Again I have a memorial for Annie at Wakapuaka plus photograph and links. So, again your memorial can safely be deleted/amended.
PS: I was a bit confused at first as to how Jessie could still be a 'Black' after she married. It turns out, her husband Robert who she married in 1860 was also named 'Black'.

Hi. I see you've put up a memorial and picture for George Dunning (#145208128). I understand this is the first natural burial in Wakapuaka cemetery. Can you recall where in the cemetery the plaque is located? Thanks Jonty

Hi Mystik, Thanks for the photo of the headstone at Kaikoura you posted today. I see that you say that you crop photos to fit the download size for FindAGrave. Is there any chance you could e-mail the original photo to me please. Cheers Julia firstname.lastname@example.org
