RE: South Cemetery, Leyden, MA
What an absolutely fascinating website. My great-grandparents and their siblings were part of the German speaking influx into Franklin county - Swiss hired to work in the silverware factories in Turners Falls. I had never realized the extent of the migration until doing research for a client to discover that half that particular name in Franklin county after 1850 listed German in the vital records & on the census forms, and were not related to my search.

I live in Northampton. I loaded the Leyden cemeteries into Find A Grave from the Corbin Transcriptions because a curious friend was upset that Leyden was under-represented at the time. Although I find myself in Franklin County while doing research for others (and benefiting Find A Grave with photos from the cemeteries in the process) it is not my primary focus.

Given the time of year, and weather forecast, I don't foresee any trips to Franklin County cemeteries until after mud season. If there is something I can help with in Hampshire County during the winter please let me know. If you don't mind, I would like to use the vital information (b/m/d) to update my memorials. In return, please feel free to add any of my photos from Find A Grave that suit you to your site.

Good luck with your research. You have set yourself quite the task.

Hope you and your family have a safe, happy & healthy holiday season.
