RE: Oak Ridge Cemetery
I have never been to this cemetery because I live on the west coast. As you can see from the map there is an Oak Ridge cemetery and a Lusk cemetery. But the road sign in the picture for the Oak Ridge cemetery shows it to be on 3rd Ave S., which is where the Lusk cemetery is on the map. I remember being confused about this when I researched it.

I suggest you contact the people who placed the pictures on the cemetery page and ask them for directions.

If you want I can transfer Stephen Slocumb to you because he is not a family member of mine.

You are very welcome. I love doing this for posterity. The grave sites are getting weather beaten and in the future all they will have is the net information. The internet is a great tool to chase ones genealogy.

I had one today at the same cemetery that the head stone was nearly illegible. To read it, I had to use Shaving cream on the stone. (that works great and does no damage) in a few years, it will not be legible no matter what I do.

Sorry there was no head stone. but that happens more often than one would like. Times change and people get poorer.

RE: Youngs in Carmi, Illinois
I have searched my Ancestry tree but did not find a Joseph Young who d. Aug 1896.

I have many YOUNG'S in White co, my great grandmother was a YOUNG from Carmi. Chances are he is in fact related to me, I just have not located his direct connecting and have not added him to the tree.

Are your YOUNG'S connected to the FUNKHOUSER family?
