RE: Harry Newbury
Hi again, sorry this has taken a while....you have Ida May Smith Newbury (# 61194043) listed as a sibling to Harry E Newbury(# 61195426)on Eliza Wheeler Smith's (# 61194354)page. BUT Ida May Smith (#61194043) is the mother of Harry E.Newbury (# 61195426) . Thelma Emily Newbury Katterhenry (# 61193944)was the sister of Harry E Newbury (#61195426). And Ida May Smith is the daughter of Eliza Wheeler Smith.
Harry E. Newbury and Kathrine Weiss Newbury were my great-grandparents.

I believe that Harry E. Newbury had an uncle with the same name (Harry Newbury), this is how you may have gotten it mixed up.

RE: Margaret Weiss
I did not know there was a loss of records, thanks. I saw where there was one listing published for the old section in 1964 according to the Indiana State Library:

Williamson, Wallace F., An index to the old section of the Mount Jackson cemetery. . . [1964]. 19pp. Genealogy Division, p.f. 977.201 M341 no. 6

http://www.in.gov/library/3058.htm

Margaret (or May) Thomas was born in Kentucky, the daughter of John L. and Elizabeth (Goff) Thomas. I last see what I believe is her living with her brother John in the 1850 census. John left around 1852 and traveled across the Oregon trail and settled near Seattle (Find A Grave Memorial# 18346024). I am still looking for where his parents are buried, which is a daunting task given how many Thomas lines there are in the world.

I went through the online records for the Jackson cemetery and entered all the Margaret's around her age into the cemetery. But, it is very difficult to find maiden names for all of them!
If you haven't already found it, there is an online listing for the cemetery here:

RE: Margaret Weiss
Thanks for the info. I do not know if Margaret Thomas ever married, so I am not looking for a Weiss in particular. Margaret Thomas was born in 1827, so it is tough to find marriage records that early. I was just looking at all the Margarets in the cemetery because her brother Caleb is buried there.

Margaret Weiss
The reason I entered Margaret Weiss was because I am looking for a Margaret Thomas. Was Margaret Weiss a Thomas?
