Thank you ever so much for your sponsorships of Sam, Phoebe and Wm. Peachy. Also for sponoring the memorials of Susannah and Thomas Walker. That was very nice and thoughtful of you. I appreciate your contributions to FINDAGRAVE. sincerely KCV

I don't know. Maybe a little more detective work might answer that...

If all four names are a match, then she probably is.

RE: Death cert for Enola Ellis Johnson
Mildred:
The Philadelphia death records at familysearch.org run only until ~1920.

If your relative died in Pennsylvania, you can search for her death record listing here:
http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/public_records/20686
where you can also download a form to mail away for a non-certified death certificate for $3 (almost free!).

From this site, I found "Enola A Johnson", died 2/21/48 (same date as her gravestone), listed here:
http://www.health.state.pa.us/indices/indices%20-%20death/1948%20Death/D-48%20H-J.pdf
It gives her place of death as Philadelphia, so I added that to her memorial. (This was very easy to find, since the records for 1948 are alphabetical; for some other years, they're not.)

Best regards,
margaret

Sorry, I forgot to tell you Mamie and John are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
Many of the Sinclair family are buried there and Rock Creek Cemetery and Congressional Cemetery.

RE: Descendents of Mamie Sinclair
Hi,
I have found some death records on Familysearch.com. They are still adding records.
I have contacted D.C. Arcives and they have sent me some records in the past.
I understand that now you can e-mail them with a request. You need the name, date of death(at least the month and year)and they will scan and e-mail you the information. They ask you to only request 5 records a month. It may take them a few weeks to get back to you.
They have death records from 1874 to 1932.
Marriage 6/1870-1990 Births, 1874 to 1928 and wills, 1801 1996 DC.Archives@dc.gov I think this is the e-mail address.
Hope this helps.

RE: Descendents of Mamie Sinclair
Hi,
I am related to the Sinclairs. John Edward's father, (Richard E.,) was my Great Grandfather's (George S.) brother.
