I am sorta new at this family history chasing...however,I've always been an avid listener to family stories. Now I have found the intrigue with connecting family genealogical dots... I find it even more exciting, potentially addicted.

If a past grandmother-in-law was adopted by a black family and was part Native American...what tribe was she from and how do you muddle through those sorts of records? Oh and then there's the Villisca ax murder's ???'s...were family members in the area around that time? Could they have been neighbors and friends? Grandpa Nels Pete Hansen supposedly died of black lung at an early age and it's said he often would "go on a pike". Where could that be?
