RE: New Cypress Cemetery
Livermore to 81 and Cypress Creek are in McLean Co. Did you find the Cemeteries at the Knob's and Worthington Chapel? I do not have any information on John Bates other than he married into my Donahoo family. Not having any luck with how the Bates Knob got its name. I put the question on the Research Centers Facebook site and only got that there is suppose to be a Bates Cemetery on one. I do not think there were any Bates stones recorded. That does not mean they are not there. We have a Kentucky Room at the Daviess Co Library that you can access some records online, one is the obituary index, that sometimes you get the burial place and family. I will check it.

RE: New Cypress Cemetery
Check the Worthington Cemetery. It is Worthington Chapel, I remember there were a lot of Bates memorials there, old ones also. I have a Nancy Elizabeth Donahoo that married a John L Bates in our family.

RE: New Cypress Cemetery
McLean Co was formed in 1854 out of parts of Ohio Co, Muhlenberg co and Daviess Co. Before 1854 you would need to look in those counties for information on them. No reference in the 1860 McLean Co Census.

Cemeteries
They are on find a grave, just not spelled like they should be. One is listed as Knob Bates Hill, it has no pictures and one memorial. The other one is Beelor Knob, it has 4 memorials and 3 pictures.
