Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am Jeff Carter son of Larry & Mallie Carter, Carter. That makes me a Carter, Carter.

I live in Allen County Kentucky,
I spend much of my free time trying to go around taking pictures of graveyards,
and cemeteries to find family members.

I have decided the best place to share my information is here on Find-A-Grave.

Most of my listings are of family.

These records ensure our ancestors will not be forgotten and future generations will have the information they need after the markers are long gone.

I will do my best to locate and photograph your request in a timely manner.

some photo's I may already have, I just haven't had time to post them.

I will try to search for your request until I find it or determine there is no stone.

Please keep in mind that not all graves have stones, and that some that did in the past may no longer have one now, many stones are weathered to badly to read.

There are good records available for some cemeteries and none at all for others, usually it falls somewhere in between.

I greatly appreciate the information Find-A-Grave provides.

I am working on adding entries with relationship links and biographies/obituaries for the members of my family.

This is a work in progress and everyone is encouraged to contribute by creating entries for those not already in Find-A-Grave.

If there are corrections that need to be made, feel free to e-mail me.

I do not want my information to be incorrect or incomplete.

Feel free to send me suggestions and people to add to new and existing ones.

I will gladly enter corrections, links, additional information.

I hope my information is helpful.

My main Surnames that I am researching are:

Carter, Gibbs, O'Neal's, Rippy's, Tuttle's, Duffer's, Huntsman's, Meador's, Keen's, Grave's, Brown's

Jarrett Carter
Hello Jeff; Great work, I commend you for your undertaking. My name is Tim Heath I am the 4th great-grandson of Od Carter. My line is as follows,

Jarrett
John "Jack"
George Crisley
James Robert "Jim Hickory"
Sophia Allen (Carter) Heath

I would like to discuss with you that Jarrett is possibly the son of Gideon & (unknown) Carter. Gideon, Harris & Joseph are the sons of Charles Carter of Halifax Co., NC. Gideon, Harris & Joseph all came to Sumner County after their father died in 1810 according to Charles' will dated 16 Aog. 1810.

How are you connected?

Do you know Freddy Brown? Please, I won't tell if you don't (LOL).

Please contact me at johntheath@aol.com or phone 615-519-1187. Thanks Tim Heath

Margaret Stephens
You had provided a photo for William E. Stephens in Bethlehem Missionary Church Cemetery. I copied it and added it to his wife, Margaret Stephens in the same cemetery. I submitted some edits and wanted it to be there for the creator to use if needed for date varification.

If you want to add your original photo to Margaret's memorial, I will then delete mine.

I am also submitting some additional photo request for other family members in this cemetery if you are close by.

Thank you,
Debby

Lt. Col John Jarboe
I am leaving to go to Maryland for a visit and I want to stop off at this cemetery. John Jarboe and Mary Tattershall are my 8th Great Grand PARENTS ON MY MOMS Side. My 1ST Great Mother was Susan Ann Jarboe married to a Charles Lewis Cass Stout who is a descendant of the Patriarch Penelope (Kent)Stout of Stouts that settled in New Jersey and Susans parents where Benedict & Ruth Ann (McFall)Jarboe, and their parents where Jarred and Elizabeth Jarboe and so on, settled in Ky about 1814/15. Is there a tombstone of John? If not then I won't make that trip.
My name is George L. Steht of Lakeland, Fl. I'm 62. Have heard from several cousin, jarboes, youngs. We leave this Monday.
How would we be related?

Take it easy.

Harris Carter
Hi Jeff,

I have been trying to track down my "Carter" ancestors. I just ran across all the info you have listed for Jarrett Carter, son of Harris Carter and Mary Catherine Carter, Carter. Married to Sarah Tuttle, father of Joseph Albert Carter.

Joseph Albert is my 3rd GGrandfather, Jarrett would be my 4th GGfather and Harris my 5th GGfather.

There are a lot of Carter's in that area so I was wondering if you are very certain of the relationship between these guys. Also is there any further information about Harris Carter and his Wife Mary Catherine. Was her maiden name Carter and her married name also Carter?

If you have any photo's or historical records for these Carter's I'd love to talk to you. Thanks
Diana
