Wife and mother of two, I enjoy genealogy researching with my mom, and wandering around cemeteries looking for relatives. Caught the genealogy bug in early 2012, and haven't looked back. All my friends and family think my mom and I are crazy! Always looking for Ryner, Reynolds, Beckner, Pursley, Moseley, Van Iseghem, and Cassin relatives. I would like to ask all Find A Grave photographers to please try to take good pictures of gravesites. It only takes a few seconds to get a good one and with digital, its even easier! So many times I have come across pictures that are blurry, too close, too far, poor lighting, etc. It is sad when relatives are looking for pictures and there are less than great pictures to memorialize their loved ones. Also, when you are adding a memorial, check to make sure one does not already exist for that person. SO MANY duplicates that need not be! Thanks! |

Just read your bio because I just added some family pictures to a link,[which I added below] and it had one of your grave stone photos on it.
And just letting you know there are MANY of us out here that agree with you 100% as to taking bad photos. Too many people care more about their numbers then doing a good job.
In this digital day and age there is little to no excuse for some of the purely awful pictures that some people are adding for families.
You left out one thing in your gripe.....'bird poop'! There is no excuse for taking family loved ones memorials with bird poop running down the whole front of the stone. It doesn't take much thought or effort to carry a rag and plastic bristled brush and a bottle of water in your trunk to at least make an attempt at cleaning.
Keep up your good work and never forget why you and your mom are volunteers out here!

Thank you for posting the photos of Monroe Reynolds and his two wives Emma & Ella.
Thank you so much for the photo of Mitchell's Heatherly's grave. Could you possibly tell me what area of the cemetery he is buried in? I would like to visit this cemetery to view family graves but it is so large I don't know where to start.

Thank you so much for taking the time to take the wonderful photographs and upload them to his memorial. I am not related to J.L. Glasgow. I ran across his obit while looking for something else. I appreciate your work in honoring this veteran's service.~Laura.

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph and post the Killey markers I had requested...and more! They are for an Ancestry tree I'm working on for my new son-in-law. Your efforts are much appreciated and he will be excited to see all the Killeys you found there. Thanks again! Marcy Sprott, Austin, TX

Thank you for the pictures of their graves, and setting up a page for their daughter with picture. I greatly appreciate it.
