Thanks for your information. My name is Darlene (Augustus) and I've wondered about the connection myself. I hope you can shed some light and knowledge on being able to confirm for us the John Augustus - King George II connection. My husband believed he is the link from some of my researching and connected our family history to him but I didn't want to because I didn't have any verifiable proof yet.
