Yes, they are in the old section of Birchdale and he may be listed as John.
My uncle just told me that he was there many times with his mother, John's second wife (she is buried in Mt Auburn).

I just spoke to the lady at the cemetery and she says yes, he is there - maybe the person you spoke to did not hear the spelling correctly
She also told me that there is a woman buried beside him in #74 - she is his first wife and I never knew her name before - this mistake has allowed a HUGE discovery for my family.
I am going to add her and replace the request for a photo - I hope you are still willing to try.

I just saw the report that the cemetery has no record for my grandfather.
I was at the cemetery last fall and the week before they gave me a section and grave number -
Birchdale section, lot #73.
They may have it listed under John - I asked for John or Ivan when I called. She never told me which name it was listed under.
Thank you so much for trying. I walke the bichdale section for an hour in the rain and I never found it, but the lot numbers are way out of order and I went on a Sunday when no one could help

I have an original receipt dated May 25, 1920 from Forest Dale Cemetery for Grave 388 section 40. for grading and re-seeding.
Also an original receipt dated December 10, 1918 for the same cemetery and same grave 388 section 40 for Joseph P. Langlois.
This receipt is for his Interment and Record.
