|Amber Griggs||RE: Clifford W. Chadwick Question|
Well unfortunately when it comes to Edna I bang my head against the wall. I have always known that she was Stella's daughter from another marriage but I have no clue as to who her father was or why the marriage didn't last? As a matter of fact I can't even seem to find any record of that marriage at all. I contacted my great aunt Mary Jo (Last living child of Stella & Clifford) Last year and she couldn't tell me much about Edna. All she knew was that Edna had gotten married many times and it's almost impossible to figure out what her married name might have been or if she ever had any children? Mary Jo was unable to tell me where she last lived or any details of her death. My grandmother Olean was close with her but she passed in 2001. There is just not much to go on when it comes to Edna. I do however have 1 photograph of her if you would like I can send it to you? Sorry I couldn't be much help to you. If you ever come across anything please let me know. I believe I can consider Edna to be the black seep of the family :-)

has the cemetery truly washed away. is it restored now
|EFulmer||RE: Sorry. Wrong Link.|
Jeffery, You ask a good question. Answer: nobody has taken the time to post up a pic of the cemetery. I always take a picture of the cemetery sign, and a shot over the graves forward just in case the cemetery has no picture. Plus when I do several cemeteries in one day, it helps me know which cemetery the pictures come from. There is no rule per say with Find A Grave, but they will review the picture before they add it to the cemetery.

You're very welcome. As for the lack of pictures. Many people add memorials from obits or cemetery indexes without actually visiting the cemetery. Unless someone requests a picture, sadly many memorials remain without one.

The source is:
"McCLAIN COUNTY, OKLAHOMA (Old Pontotoc County, Chickasaw Nation) Obituaries and Other Death Records, 1887- ?" "From Early Newspapers, Church Records and Other Sources"; "Joyce A. Rex - Editor"; "McClain County Historical and Genealogical Society"; 2006, page 19; Source- PURCELL REGISTER, 1 MAY 1930, p2c1.(Newspaper, Purcell, McClain Co., OK.)
Date: Based on the book info his birth date would be 1885. I will check this out on ancestry.com, but yes, the date/s could be different than the one in the publication. I'll make adjustments if I find out more.
Photo: Photos of the graves are taken by family, friends or volunteers, and I take as many as time allows when I'm back in the state.
Have you posted a request for a tombstone photo?
