RE: HAMM (Jacob & his line)
Sylvia, perhaps you were asking "German Pioneer Settlers Hamm, Ham, or Hamme in North America in the 18th Century" by Wilhelm Hamm, 1993, Schlangenbad/Germany. If you give me your address I will mail you a copy, or I could attach it to an email.

RE: HAMM (Jacob & his line)
Sylvia, hello. I am a bit confused. You speak of your Hamm line in terms of David and Jacob. The Hamm that married Anna Maria Sechler was Johan Daniel. He came over on 7 Sep 1748 on the Hampshire. I know very little about the rest of the Hamm family and do not know how Daniel would be related to David or Jacob. I am not recalling you asking for a copy of my gen (I assume that is what you refer to) and I am afraid it would not intersect with much of anything you are doing with the Hamm family. I have only a couple of instances of Hamm in the gen which is over 800 pages of Sechlers. If I am missing something please advise. Johan Daniel and Anna Maria had a son, Andreas Hamm. Perhaps this is your point. I have to tell you, my gen does NOT follow the female lines down. So, with Anna Maria marrying Daniel Hamm, I do not follow her further. At least not in this incarnation of the gen. So I doubt the gen would be very useful. Chuck.

RE: GERMANY> Help needed
Sorry but without a place of birth, it won't be possible to find him in Germany.

RE: JACOB HAMM gravestone
Hi Sylvia, I believe this is his actual grave site. This is a very old cemetery and many graves were unmarked, marked with simply a rock, or marked with a gravestone. Jacob's happened to have his name, but no dates. If you happen to know his birth & death dates you are welcome to add them, or let me know and I will add for you.

RE: HAMM (Jacob & his line)
Hi Sylvia. I am involved with the Hamm family only in that one of my ancestors, Anna Maria Sechler married Daniel Hamm, Jacksonville, Lynn Twp, Lehigh Co PA. I do not know if he is at all related to your Jacob. I don't know if you might know about one possible additional source of information on various Hamms. There is a short monograph "German Pioneer Settlers Hamm, Ham, or Hamme in North America in the 18th Century" by Wilhelm Hamm, 1993, Schlangenbad/Germany. It lists your Jacob (Ham)on page 3 as coming on the Speedwell along with David Hamm and Andreas Hamm. If you do not have this and would like a copy write to me at csechler@att.net or leave a message on this message board. It is kind of involved and seems for the most part well researched but has some errors, for example, Daniel and Anna Barbara Hamm died before 1790. Not true. Chuck
