My Russell line
Jim,

The furthest back (on flimsy evidence) is a James Russell of Pennsylvania. He was born in 1772. Most firmly my Russell name goes back to Daniel Rufus Russell, born 1812 in Alabama. He had a son named James, also of Alabama. My Great-Grandfather, Daniel Aaron Russell, was born in Mississippi. His son, Daniel Eugene Russell, was born in Alabama. Then, my dad was born in Oklahoma ... as was I.

Are we cousins? Of course we are! We're all cousins after all is said and done.

Keep digging! and, let me know if you relate to any of the Russell's in my tree.

RE: Russell Family from Franklin
Hi, Jim.

Several weeks (months) ago, I did a lot of photo taking at the Russell Cemetery near here. Some markers are missing, but there's some good info for you. (I think you'd enjoy visiting the site.

Do a Cemetery Lookup! You'll find this cemetery along with directions on how to get there. I not related to these Russell's ... I don't think.

Good luck in your research. (It's fun isn't it!)

Yes, he was. He was a first cousin, three generations removed. My mother knew him. She spent her summers in Alba with her grandmother McCollum.

I have made the links you provided. I'm thinking about your transfer request. She was married to my 1st cousin.
