You are so welcome! I thought I had already posted it before today but found that I hadn't. I ran up to Kelso to get the picture for you. It's been raining like crazy here this weekend but I was able to take it between downpours!
Uncle Alwyn's grandson and his family have been here this weekend from Kansas. It was nice seeing them again.

For some reason Find A Grave is holding my previous message for review. I said you're welcome and broken pottery due to golf course behind it.

Greetings! I just found the wonderful photo of my children's 3rd Great Grandfather. Thank you for posting it! Would you be so kind as to send me a digital copy of the entire photo? I'd love to have a print made for them. Their grandfather was Arnold Shirey, son of Thomas Jefferson Shirey, son of Joseph Washington Shirey, son of Newman. Thanks so much for your help! pas47pap yahoo com
|Glenda Smith||John N. Shirey, Luna Jane Wall Shirey|
Interesting that they seemed to have named their first two children with combination names from their parents: Moses Newman Shirey, 1876, for Luna's father, Moses Rosser Wall and John's father, Newman Shirey. Their first daughter, Susan Elizabeth, 1883, for Susan Elvira Lewis Shirey, mother of John Shirey, and Elizabeth for Nancy Elizabeth Lewis Wall, mother of Luna. Also, interesting that the surnames for both mothers is Lewis. They do not seem to be siblings, as I have the names of the siblings of Elizabeth from census records, but could have been cousins of some degree. It was a small area, and most likely they were distant kin.
|Glenda Smith||RE: John Nicholas Shirey|
In the listing for County Line Cemetery I found one listing for John N. Shirey; however in the listing for all Shireys in the state I found two listings and have removed one. Additionally, I discovered that the listing for Luna Jane Wall Shirey, wife of Nicholas and my direct ancestor's sister, had disappeared. I have added that.
