| Bio and Links | The majority of the memorials I manage are my direct-line ancestors.
Yes, I use F/A/G as a family tree.
Anyone is welcome to use photos or information I've added at F/A/G without assigning credit.
Transfers: I offer transfers on a case-by-case basis.
Unknown burials: Yes, I currently have an inordinate number of UB memorials which I'm striving to remedy.
The casual/vitriolic dismissal of all UB's as being unqualified for F/A/G could be construed as not seeing the forest for the trees.
Responsibly managed UB's, while imperfect, are de facto touchstones to the deceased who lack tangible gravesites.
Many thanks to the meticulous, collaborative efforts and dedication of the volunteers and staff of F/A/G.

 | RE: Duplicates Michael, Send a message or edit to her and tell her of the problem and either have her return them to you and you delete them, or send her an EDIT and tell her they are dupes and tell her to delete them. Be sure you CYA ... according to FindAGrave rules, only the creator may delete a memorial. If she wants Stuart's memorials she can/may ask him for them. A bunch of us got in trouble with FindAGrave for requesting a transfer and then deleting the memorial. I do my best to search, at least the county, for each person before I add a new memorial, because its easy to make dupe. I inventoried a small cemetery (250+ people) 2 hot days, last summer and imputed spread sheets, 90% of my memorials were dupes because the originals were in the wrong cemetery. I had to remove more than 200 of those memorials. I now search. My biggest concern is the info you have in your memorial are not in Stuart's. You should input it to him so it isn't lost in the process. Joshua-Andrew Ward Mariner's Knoll Genealogy, USA | | | Organic Farm

 | RE: Eleanor Higbee Hi Michael, I have linked Eleanor Finton Higbee with her parents as you suggested. Would you like me to transfer the file management to you? I am not a relative. This is just a very small cemetery near my home, and I photographed all the headstones and added to F.A.G. (new camera and plenty of time as I recall). Shirley | | | | [View all messages...] |
