I have been heavily involved with family history work since 2006. My focus is on the Carrs that descended out of Rhode Island and appear to have spread to most every state in America. While Carrs are my main focus, I seek to document as many descendant connections as the records will allow.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.

Gorman's Calvary Cemetery
Hi David,

I am filling your photo requests for the Gorman's and Ruge in Calvary. They are listed on the backside of a Gorman family headstone which contains three additional names on the front. I am adding both sides of the stone to your memorials and have created memorial's for the 3 individuals on the front of the stone. If you want these three individuals, George Carr, Catherine Gorman Carr, and Mary Schefter, let me know and I will transfer them to you.

If you do not wish for both sides of the headstone to be on your memorials, let me know and I can delete it.

George Carr
Hi! I saw your request for Carr headstones at Orange Grove Cemetery. I have a photo of a headstone that was 1870 to 1898. The name is no longer there, but it may be George Carr's. Is is possible that the birth year is 1870 not 1869??

RE: Laura Gray Carr
What cemetery is she buried at? I don't seem to have her on my list of photos taken.

Edward Carr Gravestone Photograph
There are two separate Find-A-Grave sites for this cemetery, which I have understood, as you do, to be the Stephentown Association Cemetery. However, a photo of Edward's gravestone appears at the other site "Stephentown Baptist Cemetery" for him (see memorial #44458291). I've just begun to work with the Find-A-Grave information and am unaware as to how to notify the appropriate person for this, but I think it would be very helpful to all if the two separate sites would be merged together.

Just say you are a relative that is unable to visit here and you would like the location of a family member so that a person can come by there to be able to take the headstone pic ,and you would like someone to be able to show that person where abouts the interment is and if there is a headstone there.

That's all you have to say , I tell you if it was me going there they wont give me that info , I have had the darndest luck recently with those office people and they want to charge me 5 dollars a name when ever I would ask for a location even tho they get a paycheck every week for doing that job.
They even had the nerve to ask me if I charge for takeing headstone pics for this site .

Good luck friend and when you do get the info put it on the request so another pic taker can get your pic.

More Sanders Headstones
While I was at the cemetery I came across a bunch of other Sanders family members. If you are interested in the photos I can email them to you.

Calvary Cemetery

I went to the cemetery today and searched every stone as there is a hefty fee for the church to provide a grave location. I found most of the people you are looking for but I didn't come across the Gorman's. I want to photograph the entire cemetery at some point and hopefully i will find them then.

Asa Brayton Jr photo
I just added a photo per your request, then noticed the memorial was a duplicate. Please see the original memorial for Asa Brayton Jr in the same cemetery that already had the photo. I'm deleting it off the duplicate since Duplicate entries are not allowed.
