KEITH Family research.
I received your email this morning, Kathy. Thank-you for your kind words.
.
I did some additional research last night, and may have found a few more clues. According to the 1920 census, it appears that David Albert Keith and his wife, Lavina "Vina" Keith, divorced. Most important is the fact that Vina remarried ( ! ); therefore, it's likely that she was buried with her 2nd husband, under a different surname rather than "Keith." As of yet, I have not located her burial place.
.
Do you descend from their daughter, Nellie Keith; or, from their son, James Edward Keith? (I also found additional census data for both).
.
It appears that David Albert Keith also remarried, and may have had at least two additional daughters.
.
I added the above-referenced census data to my family tree. Let me know if any of this information seems to help. If so, I can send the census data to you.
.
Peace and blessings,
CPM.

David A Keith son of Spedia Amelia Porter Keith.
Greetings, Kathy,

I frequently miss the posts here, so I'm glad that I came upon your inquiry regarding your great grandparents, David Albert Keith and Vina (Dougherty) Keith.
.
Unfortunately, I have very little information about Vina, other the entry (attached below), from the "Porter Genealogy," stating that David Keith married "Vina Dougherty."
.
1910: The 1910 Census (also attached, below), sheds a bit more light on her given name, listing it as "Lavina."
According to census data, it seems that David A. Keith married a second time, to Nancy ___ .
.
1940: David A. Keith, age 72, is found on the 1940 Census Leesville, Henry, Missouri. He is then listed as "single," and lives alone. The census reports that he resided in the same county in 1935.
