Thank you very much for your efforts in gathering information about my Great great Grandfather. He was quite a man and left a fine legacy for which we "downline" find remarkable. Have been to Ellicotteville and to his cemetery plot but while there could not find his home. The people at the historical society there were most helpful by the way. Thank you again!

John Philip Garman
Hello--
Am tracing my Germann ancestors on Ancestry.com--to my surprise, saw that Johann Phillip Germann had immigrated to the US and changed his name to Garman.
I descend from his brother Georg Conrad Germann, who was born in Messbach and immigrated to Canada. Two of his daughters married Eckert brothers and immigrated to St. Louis--then St. Clair Co., Illinois. My Eckert brother built, then managed, the City Hotel in Belleville.

Could I have your permission to put the bio you've written on Ancestry.com? What an amazing life!!
BJ

Hello
I can add biological info to this memorial for you. Just send a FindAGrave message.
Regarding adding a photo. I would scan the photo and then add to the memorial. This is how I have done photos for my family.
