RE: Bertha
That is wonderful. I will be in touch soon with the story as I know it.

I hope you are well and that you are not caught up in this weather like we are. Not as bad as upper states though!

RE: Bertha
Yes it can be confusing. But we are still related because they share the same Father, Gershom Mott!!

I'm glad we are still related. We were so happy to see that your Bertha lived until 1972.

Who knows how long our Bertha would have lived if that horrible thing happened to her. If you want to know what happened I will tell you, but only if you want to know or just keep happy memories of our Bertha.

Don't lose contact now that we have found each other.

RE: Bertha
The story gets a bit confusing. Gershom Mott was first married to Henrietta Hewitt who had my GGM Bertha E Mott in 1868, died 1933. They divorced (cannot find any records) and he married Barbara Adeline Green 2 or 3 years later. They had a daughter named Bertha May Mott born in 1875, died in 1972. She married a Watt or Watts. Why he would have two daughters with the same name gets confusing.

Which line are you from?

RE: Bertha Mott Dittler
I hope you were able to see her photograph I put on find a grave. It is a very sad story. It split the family between did she do it or did he? She was a sweet soul, my Mother remembers her a little, but her daughter (my Grandma) was the sweetest soul and I am sure where she got it from.

What line are you related to Bertha from?

It is great to find family.

I wish you could have taken a picture of her grave. She is my Great Grandmother. She is the dearest to my heart, even though I never knew her. She had a tragic end.

I just sent you your great aunt. I'm a Small too but not sure if from the same line. My mom and I took the picture while at that cemetery because she was a Small:)
