I would like to fulfill your photo request but Sparkman HIllcrest (SH) will not provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Hillcrest Mausoleum is so large that if you are looking at every name to find the one you want, it will take you over an hour and a half to walk the entire building. Your cooperation is needed to in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request.
You can also go through the SH website at this address: http://www.dignitymemorial.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us.page
Click the third tab that says "Other Requests." Fill in the blanks. Where it says: " What is your request in regard to?" use the drop down menu and select "other." In the message put the name and birth and death dates of the person you are looking for and that they are buried at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas. Once SH has replied, add the information to your photo request.
Thank you for your help.

|Julie Bealer||RE: John T. Vestal|
David Terrell Vestal's wife was Sarah Ann Motley b. 9 Nov 1834 Allen County, Kentucky. d. 14 Apr 1888 Sarcoxie, Jasper, Missouri. Father: John Henry Motley (1797-1847) Mother: Sarah A. "Sallie" Smith (1800-1871)
I have TONS of info on both of them in my tree in ancestry.com (Our Beginnings) You may have to find it under my user name jujubee45 or you can leave a message there if you like.
Thank you for driving so far to take the photos and for all your help. God bless you and yours!!

Thank you for your prompt attention to my request. A large portion of Vestal descendants live in Jasper County, Missouri that is mentioned in John Thomas' memorial bio. I doubt we would be able to ever get to see this stone or this cemetery except for kind folks like you.
John Thomas got into a little trouble with the law for guerilla-type activity during the Civil War and moved to Texas. Several other Vestals joined him there including my g-g-grandfather David T. Vestal who has an unmarked grave in the same cemetery. David brought his wife Sarah and their children to Texas to wait out the Civil War battles which were fought along the border of Kansas and Missouri. David died in a wagon accident and Sarah returned to Missouri with the children when the War was over.
The Vestals are a very important part of my family heritage and I appreciate your part in helping us learn more about our history.
Thank you for sending a bio of Mr. William Baldridge. I added it to his memorial page. If you'd like me to also transfer the memorial to you, feel free to drop me a line. I hope this note finds you well!
