Hawes Family
Hi! I saw the message you left on Sandi's page and you mentioned James and Lucy Corbett Hawes. My great great grandmother was one of their children, Claricy/Clarissa (many diff ways it's spelled). I have been looking to go further back and find her origins with James and Lucy, but I hit a brick wall. I'd love to chat with you about that...

Hi Lynn,
I will take it down if you want but it is interesting to see both dates. It's up to you.
What a handsome man

Ok, please give me a few days to look at it as we're on travel and I don't have my notebook with me :-) Blessings, Sandi :-)

Thank you for your additional information which I have added to Cornelia's memorial. In addition, since you are a descendant, I have transferred her memorial to you. Marie

RE: Josephine Jones
The area where she is buried is along the southerly border along Allen Place. The burials in this area are in chronological order of death. My assumption is these are the ones family didn't want or didn't have the money for more than a single plot. I believe she is in the southeast corner near the bottom of the hill. The contact for information on burials in Zion Hill a couple of years ago was John Timm ( He was very helpful, sent me a copy of the index card & a sketch of the burial site, it's a huge cemetery.

Lynn, I'm happy to transfer her memorial to you. She is buried in the same general vicinity as my husband's grandfather. I took the picture of her marker when I was looking for his grave. Great photo of her that you posted.

Lynn, I think I got those six. I also noticed Ethel and Anna Rivers. Would they be family too ?

I have transferred the three ladies markers to you. I noticed that I have Louis and William Rivers as well as Richard Porter memorials as we'll. would you like transfers? I made Ludaway the maiden name. If this was not right you will have to correct it for me!
