I have been wandering the local cemeteries for years as the are a great place to find solace and think. |
In the last couple of years I have been helping my sons Boy Scout Troop with Wreaths Across American in the Hartley Cemetery. The movement has spread over the years we have now started adding cemeteries Kelseyville, Lower Lake and Upper Lake.
For more information on what Wreaths Across America is and does https://secure2.convio.net/waa/site/TRAPIPreview?page_type=fr_personal&fr_id=1166
You'll find me wandering around the county looking at the veterans graves. If you would like to see the Ceremony we hold. It is 2nd Saturday in Dec. at 9:00 Pacific time. the ceremony is held simultaneously across the US at participating cemeteries.
As I'm roaming the local cemeteries I take pictures if I find names that haven't been added or pages without photos I add them.
Please let me know if I have added a relative so I can pass the page on to you.
Please feel free to use any of my photos for your personal use.

Do you mind if I use the picture that you took of Edith Warner Wright's headstone on my Ancestry.com family tree? Thanks.

More people "happy to share" would make this site twice as good! Thanks for your great attitude!

Thank you for the transfers. Especially as a couple, I hope you'll appreciate the additions I have made!
If you would like them back in your "family" afterwards, please let me know. The Vassar's are cousins to us.

There were 3 John Kelsay's....the one in Kelseyville Cemetery born 1869 is the 3rd. His father John (2) was buried in the 'old' cemetery prior to when it closed. He died before his parents and son, sometime between 1869-1884. You can find John 1 and his wife Emma (John S Kelsay's grandparents) at 114278145 for more information. Thanks for seeing this through, it's appreciated.
