Bio and Links
Bio Photo Like to do family research for my own family and am working on an online book for family members. Basically, I am the family Historian. : )

I often have help from relatives and attempt to interest our younger generation in family History. It is a daunting challenge to take them away from the cell phones and the games. By using the computer and contacting them that way, I hope it will "draw them into" genealogy!

Thanks to you all who have transferred family member sites to me. YOU are all great folks!!!

GOD BLESS YOU.

Joel Kenneth (Ken) Trammell
RE: Emory Chapel Cemetery
I live in South Dakota so it is not that easy to get together. However, I was down south this winter and in fact just returned home last week. I was at the Emory Chapel Cemetery. Do you know who David Hall? He lives near LaFayette in the first house on the left just passed the intersection of CR 267 and CR 460. The cemetery is not far from his home. He took me to the cemetery in his pickup as the road really is not passable with a passenger car. He also showed me a old home site where some Trammell's lived along with some Ramsey's.

Thomas Trammell is my great grandfather (x4) and he his buried at the Antioch United Methodist Cemetery at Thomaston, GA. I went there too. There is a revolutionary war monument for him. They know he is buried there but they are not sure where. His wife Mary Turner is buried in the Emory Chapel Cemetery.

John Trammell and Mary Dickinson (Thomas' parents are buried in the Emory Chapel Cemetery). John's father, Joel D. Trammell is buried in the Camp Hill Cemetery.

Let me know if I can be of any help. Ken

RE: Benjamine Blasingame
You are welcome. I've been looking for CSA soldiers in Newton, Walton, Rockdale, Barrow and Gwinnett counties for a year or so. And I came across him today. Take care. Joyce

Finley Dismukes
LOL! He is related to me also. The Easley family married into the Dismukes family there in Georgia. That was why I hunted down this cemetery. I need to go find my info and see how we are related.
I guess the simple would be - Hi! Cousin. (If a bit distant.)

Easley and related families
Nan,

I was cleaning out old emails and discovered that somehow some of the Easley family members did not get transferred. Not certain how or why. They were in my completed area so not sure what went wrong.

I have tried to transfer again.

RE: Stroud family
I am thank you. We have a church here (Mars Hill) that was founded by Meltons and Strouds. About 8 Strouds are buried there.

In-directly. Tabitha Stroud (1772-1852) married my 6th great uncle Jonathan Melton, s/o Jeremiah Moses Melton (1749-1822) and Mary Nancy Keen (1744-1843).

RE: Forrester and Guthrie cemeteries
Hi Nan, I live in another state and don't get there often; and when I do, my time is spent visiting my children. I have Forrester relatives buried at Shiloh and at the Forrester Cemetery near Walnut Grove. Joyce

Guthrie
Hi Nan.
Well, I have 35 still in my control. While in the USAF in the early 50's I was stationed in WV at Guthrie Air Force Station, a small radar site just north of Charleston, WV.
SO, as I walk cemteries I always stop and take a photo of any headstone with that name on it. I am not related to any of them, but always wondered if they were related to the man that the site was named after. That's it, just old man curiosity. If you want to know the folks that are on my list all you have to do is plug in "Guthrie" or any other name you are looking for in the "Search Contributor's Records" surname slot.
Have fun, and I am up to transferring any or all you like.
Best regards, Bud.
