Bio Photo I'm relatively new at researching my family history, and brand new at Find A Grave. I took my teenaged granddaughter with me to take the first photos I contributed--she said she'd tell her friends she went grave hunting with her grandma.

Oh, well, I've never minded being a bit strange...

Please feel free to use any photos I contribute to Find a Grave.

I'm particularly interested in Troidls, Savinis and Marshalls in New York and New Jersey; Dollards in NY and PA; and Burkeys in Nebraska.

Edward and Evelyn Ss. Ficks
May I ask a favor? Would you mind adding a copy of the photo on memorial 100010761 (Edward B. Ficks) to the new memorial 107171738 (Evelyn S. Ficks) which I have just set up.

Thanks for your help.

I apologize sincerely for posting pics to a memorial in which you have claimed. It annoys me when someone does that very thing to me.

I have removed the photos and do apologize again.

I just submitted the pics. Thank you for making it so much easier to find by supplying the section and plot. I wish more people requesting pics would do the same. I have a map of the cemetery and just went looking in that section, as the office is NOT cooperative with Find A Grave volunteers.

Lucille Ellis Ficks
After looking at the photo for Edward B. Ficks, I see what the "problem" is. He was married before he married Lucille Ellis Ficks and he is buried with his first wife. Perhaps Lucille is buried in Resthaven with a first husband. Sorry to be slow to pick up on this. I'm way behind in my genealogy work. Thanks again for everything.

Lucille Ellis Ficks
Thanks for your message about Lucille Ellis Ficks. I have just checked the obituaries I got after I added the memorial and determined that Lucille Ellis Ficks is buried as Resthaven. I assumed that she was buried with him. She was listed as his wife at his death in 1986. Her obituary does not indicate that she remarried, so I'm not sure why they were buried at different cemeteries. I will delete the request for Lucille Ellis Ficks. Thanks so much for your work on this and for being a Find-A-Grave volunteer and providing this service for those of us not able to get to the gravesite.
