Retired road construction engineering technician, having discovered my ancestry to early colonial America, with many ancestors involved with founding and preserving our great nation's legacies, I've acquired an interest and hobby of establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the knowledge of our cemeteries as honorable monumental artifacts, through which, and with the assistance of the information in findagrave.com, anyone in touch with their family histories, can also indulge it with ancestry information provided through this valuable website.|

If the headstones are gone from this cemetery is there a map of registry of who is there and where they are? I am inquiring about a request you did for someone else for the grave of Isaac N Alies. Thanks so much. Brent Lang
Thank for your reply. I hope you are enjoying your new home.
Make that "John Crawford".
|seekerJay||Regarding John Ceawford.|
You left some Civil War information about this man, giving the company name and details of his death, but forgot to say what regiment he joined Do you have that information?
Thank you and all the best.

Sorry they were cut off. A ladder would have helped but alas, it wasn't in my bag of supplies. I have a couple more pics of Mary's stone I will post soon.

I'm working on a volume of grave locations for veterans of Co. M, 15th NY Heavy Artillery. Could I have your permission to use the picture you posted of William Thurston's grave in this compilation? I will cite you as the source.
|Terry Goodwin||RE: Hezekiah Catlin photo request|
You are welcome for the photo, glad to be of assistance. By the way, Hezekiah is my fourth great grandfather, hence, a personal stake in taking a good photo.

Thank you for the flower you left for him. It gave me additional information I need to make sure the memorial is as accurate as possible. It is sad to say but on the 1870 Mortality Schedule in Andalusia,Illinois they listed this man as basically a vagrant. After all he did for his country. They had just gotten to the area and no one knew them.

Hello there Bert!
What lovely lovely words of thanks to read this morning. YOU certainly did make my day!
Once in a while I will get intrigued by an 'off branch' of my family tree and do a bit of research into the individual.
With David A Catlin, I could not resist!
I was curious of what his relationship was to me when you sent the note...so I did a bit of research only to find that he is the paternal grandfather of the wife of a brother-in-law of my 2nd Great Aunt. I had to chuckle to myself when I saw the relationship...smiling. Now that is truly getting a bit off the main branch...wink!
But he was definitely an interesting character!
