Evelyn June (Carnes) Angelus April 12, 1925 - July 22, 2013 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and wonderful friend to many, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 88. Evelyn was born in Orting, Washington on April 12, 1925 to Charles and Winnifred (Chesterfied) Carnes. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Gault Jr. High, and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1943. She married her high school sweetheart, James (Jim) Angelus on May 26, 1945, making their home in Tacoma, where they raised their three children.
Evelyn was an avid bowler in her early years, bowling for sponsors such as Parkland Fuel and "Big 6" Mobil service station. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, reading, listening to Country Music, Sunday afternoon drives, and the Puyallup Fair. She especially enjoyed her vacations
to Victoria, B.C., Canada that she and her husband Jim took annually for several years. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church for many years and later attended Life Center Church in Tacoma. Evelyn was an avid supporter of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and always encouraged those she came in contact with to watch his telecasts. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband James (Jim) Angelus in 2012 after celebrating 67 years of marriage together, her parents Charles Carnes and Winnifred (Chesterfied) Carnes-Keller, and her sister Betty (Carnes) Morrone. She is survived by her children; sons Richard (Marlene) Angelus and Peter (Dyanne) Angelus, both of Tacoma, and daughter Shelley (Jerry) Beroth of Gig Harbor, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Yvonne (Ken) Trenberth of Tacoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thank you so much for tranfering
Aunt Michajla. I recently transfered
all of my non-family memorials because I
read that we should have someone to care for
them if something should happen to us.
I am the only one interested in this in
my family so I kept only the family and transfered the rest. I thank you again for the transfer of my family member.

|Liane||Mountain View in Lakewood|
Considering the immense number of burials of this cemetery, I thought it would be a great idea to get a group of locals together to tackle photodocumenting it in the spring/summer of next year. If interested, drop me a message.

Hello, There is only one Mountain View Cemetery in Pierce County. Everyone thinks it is in Tacoma but it is actually in Lakewood. If you could move your adds to the correct cemetery, it would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

|Cindi Sweet Hoveland||French church|
The French church is straight east of Woolstock, Iowa , approx 4-5 miles I'd say. It's on the north side of the road, has a quaint little white church that sits in the center of it.
I have take a few pictures there, it's a beautiful little church!
