Hood family of Illinois
What awesome photos you have of the line of Samuel Hood and Martha Campbell. Samuel is a brother of John Hood and Robert, all born in Stahlstown, Westmoreland County PA. When Samuel's father died in 1824, Samuel was a minor who was appointed a guardian. If you are interested in the early Hood family who "stayed behind" when the rest of the family moved to Illinois, please let me know. I would also like to ask if I have your permission to print your Hood pictures for an album that I and some others are putting together for the Stahlstown Flax Scuthching and the history of the Families of Stahlstown next year, with all credit going to you of course. Please let me know and thank you again.

Hi Jennifer,
Were you ever able to get copies of the bible from your in-laws?

RE: Charles Wesley Burks
I would be eternally grateful to you and your family! I have been working so hard on my family tree for our daughter who is 21 months old. To prove lineage for me and my daughter for the Daughters of the American Revolution, I need copies of original documents to prove lineage. I would love copies of all of the pages of the Bible with all of the family info, and any other information still available from your husband's family. Thank you so much!
Most Sincerely,
Dannie Lee

RE: Charles Wesley Burks
Hi Kerstin,
Thanks so much for the info. I have been searching for this info at the historical societies in those states to no avail for six months, and on and multiple other sites. Would you and your husband be willing to share photographs of the Bible pages? I am specifically interested in finding Mary Elizabeth Burks, married to James Lee, being listed as the daughter of Charles Wesley Burks. I would be happy to reimburse for postage and paper copies if scanned images cannot be sent.
Thank you for your consideration.
Most Sincerely,
Dannie Lee

Hi Jennifer,
How did you attain the date and place of death for Charles Wesley Burks? Parent and spouse references would be appreciated too, thanks!
Most Sincerely,
