Thank you very much for taking the time to send valuable information for her memorial....It is people like you who share information that makes Find A Grave such a success! Future generations will thank you also, as I do!!

Many thanks. We appreciate it!
Thanks for the info re Calvin Marshall. We really don't need a copy of records, just go ahead and make the corrections to his memorial. Usually under the edit button most changes can be records. Thanks for catching the error and making the changes. Its what all these memorials are about, recording the correct information to share with others.

Its a small cemetery, both sides of John are vacant, she could be there without a stone. :o(

Thomas, I have not been able to verify where Maria Hook is buried. I looked in the cemetery where her parents are buried and various other siblings and children with no results. The area of the cemetery where her husband, George Washington Crosby, is buried has suffered a lot of vandalism over the years. Markers are toppled over, sometimes face down (of course), broken and covered with soil and lichens. There's every possibility she was buried nearby, but the stone is missing or never existed. I plan to chat with my Paulding County source soon and will get back to you if I can find some information.

Thomas - you are more than welcome. I agree - sometimes a simple picture makes all the difference in the world. I am glad I was able to help! Best wishes, Richard

Don't know where the date came from, but it wasn't from her tombstone. Her death certificate has her age listed as 40 years old, and she's also in the NC Death Index as being born in 1880.
She would only be around 36 years old if the tombstone is correct. Since the tombstone says what it does---I'm changing the date to match it.
But I do see a lot of death certificate---tombstones---and other records that are wrong. So now it's probably a mystery as to what her actual birth date was---unless she turns up in some old family bible or something.
