Holy Cross is very open to family questions. If you have doubts that my information is correct, I'd suggest you call and verify. Maybe we can get a good plot # in there, too! Good luck!
Sorry, but anyway, there has never been a "Holy Cross cemetery in San Francisco. The cemetery that was moved in the early part of the 1900s was called Calvary, and those graves moved to Colma, into the newly purchased Holy Cross.
You may notice that your obituary says burial at Holy Cross. It does NOT say Holy Cross, in San Francisco, because there is none.
She is listed in the database for Holy Cross in Colma, also. For all of these reasons,, I am certain she is there.
The message system won't let me paste a link! Sorry, just go to Holy Cross in Colma, and hit the map tab...
Heres the link straight to the Holy Cross map...

This is Holy Cross in Colma, just south of San Francisco. It's not *in* San Francsico. In addition, it's In San Mateo County, not San Francisco County. Cemeteries were banned in San Francisco, with only a few exceptions, and had to be moved. Millions of bodies were moved out of San Francisco or just paved over.
You can click on the map tab for most cemetery, and see a map. Here is the one for Holy Cross. If you pull back, you'll see how close it is to San Francisco.
You'll also note that the cemetery has 349,633 interments listed, so while it's not perfect, it's pretty complete.
There was a Holy Cross cemetery on the far edge of San Francisco County once but it was moved and shut down in about 1880.
I hope this is helpful.

I am an Illinois Thorn Cousin trying to meet my Nebraska cousins. Edna's branch of the Thorn family still occasionally holds a family reunion in Nebraska. So, I can get you as connected as you wish to be. We Kinda lost track of Edna & her brother Bert & others when they moved to California & places West. They had other Nebraska Thorn cousins in Grass Valley as well.
I DO appreciate your taking the time to help us out, when you can. Are there other pictures that the family has? Do you know other family members?
I send Smiles your way.
