Bio

My background is in history; I hold a PhD in American History from Rice University. I also have a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina. From Macon, Georgia, I had the great pleasure to work for about a dozen years as historian-on-staff and genealogy librarian in the Genealogical and Historical Room at Washington Memorial Library in my hometown.
At age 50, I returned to school and pursued a law degree, fulfilling a long-held dream. I was graduated JD from Florida State University and now practice law in Byron, Georgia. Working primarily with wills, trusts, estates, and property, I find I daily put to good use the historical and genealogical research skills I've honed over the years. And of course, I continue to work on my family lines, as well as others--what genealogist has ever willingly quit his or her research?
