Nice to hear from you. Which pic are you referring to? I put 3 of Joe Calhoun, teacher at Conover School in Adair and one of Josiah Hudson. Let me know which ones you don't have and I will send to you. I am hoping someone can ID the children in the school pic. I believe many are "Shepard."
Tarter oops ... Just saw "TARTER." My grandfater's sister Matilda Jane Calhoun 1860-1920, married John P Tarter b.1855 and I have been searching any small detail I can find about this family. I have a lot of info on the, but my elusive grandfather, LEVI C CALHOUN aka (Kirt/Kurt/Kirk) remains pretty much a mystery. I would love to see how you are related, and any shred of info, no matter how small, might be the missing piece I need. Thanks Judy Calhoun Bresch email@example.com
WOLFORD, HUDSON Looks like you are researching in Adair & Russell Countie Kentucky and maybe Kaufman Texas. I have been combing those areas for about 20 years hunting mainly Calhoun's but they all intermarried so I have info on about 70% of the families in those three places. Happy to share and help if I can. firstname.lastname@example.org
Sarah (Sallie) Hudson Thank you. Rhoda Ann had two children Sarah (Sallie) Goodin and John Goodin. She died after John was born but George Washington Goodin, Sarah and William's son, shows up as Rhoda's son because she was raising him until her death in 1860. I know she is buried in Russel, Kentucky but have no idea which cemetery she is located. I did know that Sallie and Amy were sisters.
David Bryant has helped me with the history of Rhoda's daughter, Sarah (Sallie) who was his grandmother and Rhoda his great grandmother. Rhoda is my great grand aunt.
