William's parents were Matthais and Catherine Eckhart Lemon.
|Patti Walker||Thank you|
Thank you for getting the headstone photo of William Tritle for me. It is greatly appreciated. Patti
|Patti Walker||RE: William Trittle|
First off, thank you for getting me a headstone photo. Second, let Bill know that you found a Tritle cousin who has been working on the family tree if he is interested. He can email me privatley at firstname.lastname@example.org Patti
Thank you for looking. Perhaps there was no headstone, but only a plot number. I do appreciate your help.
|James Richards||More on Stovalls from Kentucky|
From Rootsweb: "According to The Stovall Family and Related Lines, Vol. I by Lyle K. Williams after Kitty died Christopher married Sarah Elizabeth Bush on March 9, 1878 in Hardin County, Kentucky."
From my quick research, they were in Kentucky in 1880 when son Robert was born. They moved to Texas by 1885 when son Frank was born in Ellis County, Texas. I guess they moved to Van Zandt after that.
There is more information. The link is:
Also, if you want to see the image of your great-grandparents marriage record, go to the Hardin County Clerk website and sign in as a guest and then look for Christopher H. Stovall. The link is:

I found a reference on the web where a researcher showed that they moved to Van Zandt, Texas. I will try to find the source for you. It made sense. I thought the evidence good enough, so I sent notes to other Find A Grave people and started to make the links. I also connected him to his first wife. If you go to C.H. Stovall's Find A Grave memorial you can see some, not all, of the links to other including his first wife, and some other sons and a daughter, Eula(well, maybe that link will show up in a day or two if the owner of Eula's memorial makes the link). No, I am not a relative - I have only created lots of Stovall memorials because they are abundant here in Hardin County.

I do research in Hardin County, Kentucky. I see from a post that you made a while ago that Christopher H. and Sarah Stovall were your ancestors.
I believe they were were married in Hardin County on Mar 10, 1878. He was first married to Kitty Mayfield and they had several children before she passed away in 1876.
Do you know if that is correct?
|Roger Bryant||RE: John Daniel Crockett|
I don't know where john daniel Bryant's first wife is buried? He came into indiana with his first marriage children without polly, I assume she is
died prior to coming into clark/washington county, indiana, he remarried into my family. I would try to research polly more, I'll email you if I find anything.
If my death date had been correct he would have set the record since bibical time as oldest on record.
Anyway it is now corrected. Thank you for letting me know.

Michael, I see in the records of Hop cemetery that Nancy Pollard is buried at Hop. She was born in 1808 and Died 8-10-1879 and says she was the wife of A Chamberlain. Aged 71 years 3 months and 26 days. Then it lists William Pollard as consort of Nancy. Maybe you know this already?
