Elizabeth King
Hello Marilyn, I am tracing my great grandmother. I have the other seven great grandparents lines back to about 1500 but this one has me as my mother's family has no interest. We live out west in Oregon and Washington so the ones who jumped from the mid west to the coast cause a lot of headaches trying to track them. I have checked and double checked and I'm pretty sure my great grandmother Easter Elizabeth King is the child of Thomas King and Martha Ann Haggerty. She was born March 31, 1861 which is why she was called Easter Elizabeth, although I don't think there's anything official with Easter on it. I found Martha Ann Haggerty Gooding King (39 yrs) on the 1870 US Census with children: Francis Marion Gooding 16yrs, Cinderella Gooding 8yrs, Clarence Cyrus Gooding 3yrs, Mark Gooding 1 yr, Mary Ann King 12yrs and Elizabeth King 9yrs. A 51 year old man named James Haggerty was also living there. He must have been her former father-in-law. Do you have any information to confirm or refute this connection? Thanks, Dennis
