Luhn family
I am SO glad you have found Find A Grave and are part of the Luhn family tree. I wish I knew more about the Luhn family. The McNutt family has been documented for many years by several family members. There is a notebook full of obits that has been passed down to me from my uncle Ernest Paul (Dyke) McNutt and my aunt Gaye McNutt. There are many obits for McNutts and several Luhn obits that were included. I spent last summer adding all of the info I could find. I am normally a school teacher, but considered myself "employeed" last summer as I made all of the entries. If you find out any information that could be added, please let me know. I only have one obstacle on Find A Grave and it is linked to some of these entries. It is a person whos name starts with a "G" who has possession of them and will not turn them over to me. I think it is a numbers game for this person. I don't even know exactly who it is. It is very frustrating. You will discover what I am talking about as you dig through the Luhns and McNutts in Austin and Fort Bend County. My branch of the family tree came from Austin County and then moved to Fort Bend County. I am interested to know where your branch of the Luhns ended up. I find it very interesting! I'm glad that there are so many Luhns in Oak Knoll Cemetery with perpetual care. We have some McNutts buried in a small cemetery in Kenney, Tx (down the road) which do not have perpetual care and we struggle to keep the cemetery clean and not overgrown. McNutts for many years have gone and cleaned the graves of our family, but the other graves got lost in the brush and virtually forgotten. We are still working on cleaning it up and keeping it nice. Please feel free to dig through my entries for Oak Knoll, Morton and any others that you need. Keep me posted about what you find. I am very interested in my great grandmother's family! They always say that Rosa Luhn was very sickly most of her life and that my great grandfather loved her with all of her heart! My mom was crazy about her!
