Bio and Links
Bio Photo I know for sure my future tombstone will say I was born on April 25, 1974. As for that annoying second date, I'm putting it off as long as I can. Call me lazy. :D

I am the administrator for The Frushour Wiki, however the site is on temporary hiatus due to circumstances beyond my control. The site is backed up, and I will post word here when I can return the site online.

RE: John Wesley Frushour
Thanks for you reply. I had taken info from the death certificate. I will remove that part. I have found the death certificates contain a lot of wrong info. Thanks again, Carol

RE: Pic of Scott son
I am glad you pointed out my mistake. I will need to look for Thomas Scotts photo. I'll have it up in a day or two. If I can help I'll be happy to.

RE: Pictures of Perry and Ida Tygard
I know that Ida had 3 girls: Emma, Martha and Beryl. I was in touch with Emma until she passed in 2010. Let me know how I can help. Martha Cullison on Ancestry is sharing alot of our family pictures, but I have some too. Ida was great! I remember here. She died in 1975 but she'd come visit us in Detroit and Mom and I would go see her. --Lynda Tygard Grow

RE: Pictures of Perry and Ida Tygard
Kevin: I'm not sure, I'm terribly sorry. The pictures aren't marked but I can send you copies if you e-mail me at What I can tell you is that he was born to Rev. John R. Tygard 7-22-1861. He helped his Dad in their tannery when he was little. By 18, he was busily tinkering with engines with his brothers. Ida encouraged them to use the basement & vent the engine exhaust out the window! He went to Duff College, became an Engineer, & w/brother James Wallace, designed a rotary engine in 1899. He worked for Baldwin Locomotives as a salesman (he LOVED trains!) in the early 1920s, then owned a drawn glass tube recycling factory before the Great Depression. He lost everything:house, business, car, and started over. He got a job at Pittsburgh Screw & at age 70, was working as an engineer at the railroad. He taught Sunday School at So. Side Pittsburgh Methodist Protestant Church. He died 8 Jan. 1942 at age 80. there is more! His Bio is in the History of Pittsburgh of 1922. That's where the picture came from. He had 6 kids; my the Granddaughter of his eldest son, C. Frank.
