Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have documented all the cemeteries in Lebanon, NH; the Etna, Hanover Center and Dana Cemeteries.
I have also documented all the Civil War soldiers within these cemeteries.
I have been researching Lebanon Residents in the Civil War; and also the Civil War Soldiers buried in Lebanon, NH Cemeteries.
I plan to include bios on all of these men.
I am secretary of the Lebanon Historical Society.
I am on the Soldiers Memorial Building Committee (Old G.A.R. Hall).
It has been brought to my attention that some contributors are using my "published" documents as their own in the Lebanon and Hanover, NH cemeteries. Any contributor that has done this must give "credit" to me for the documentation.

Documenting Soldiers' Graves
Fran - Thank you for the work you do around documenting soldiers' graves. So many of the young ones died without issue, and the only memory of them may be a name that recurs in a family.

Orange Common Cemetery
Duh, of course you'd use the name on the stone... How else would someone find the proper marker?

Thanks again. Per your suggestion, I'll note alternate spellings on the Memorial Pages.

Orange Common Cemetery
I really appreciate all of the work you've done documenting Orange Common Cemetery, and thank you for including the family connections I submitted. (I will be sending more as I get them sorted.)

There appears to be a fair amount of phonetic spelling on the gravestones, with Lydia Agur Fellows being a prime example. Her father was Asa Eager, pronounced ā-gur; he kept Eager's Tavern in Laconia & is buried in Riverdale Cemetery in Webster. What is your protocol? Do you use the spelling that's on the marker, or the more "accepted" one?

Thanks again for doing this,
Anne Collins

RE: Melissa & Belinda Ross
Thank you Fran for being so helpful with this problem I sent you. I am grateful for the help and I already sent you the memorial numbers for the two from Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Huntington County, Indiana.

Malissa and Belinda Ross
Hi Fran, Here are the Memorial #'s for you. Malissa Ross Putnam 20476461, and Belinda Ross 20476583. The township trustee has asked me to research the Wesley Chapel Cemetery and put a book together about the family's buried there. So I have found quite a bit of information on these two girls by reading obits, history books ,etc. I work for the Indiana Gen. Room at the public library as a volunteer, so I am not telling you this to be nosey. I have researched the info before contacting you. Thank you for responding to me.

belinda ross
Hi Fran,
I am again writing you about a Ross. Her name is Belinda and she too is buried in the Wesley Chapel Cem. in Huntington County, Indiana. Her stone is just a couple of feet away from her sister's, Malissa. It states on her stone she is the daughter of Benjamin. Please check and correct. Thank you.

Malissa Ross Putnam
I am writing to you to let you know that Malissa is not buried at the Dana Cem. She was buried with her son Andrew at the Wesley Chapel Cem. in Huntington County, Indiana. The stone is next to her son and it states on the stone that she is the wife of S.C. Putnam. Please correct. Thank YOu very much

Thank you for posting the photo of his stone! It is much appreciated! I added a note to address the birth year discrepancy between his stone and records.
