I have been interested in my family history ever since my grandmother handed me her grandmother's diary from 1885 and said, "you may want to read this"... I read it and was hooked. From there, she took me on a family history journey that included a local cemetery where her family (10 of them) were buried. Thus began my love of cemeteries and a desire to chronicle the final resting places of my ancestors and relatives (and some friends, too).
Having previously benefited from the generosity of photo volunteers on Find-a-Grave, I decided to pay it forward... and have begun to serve as a photo volunteer, myself, here in the Los Angeles area. I have come to know the local cemeteries well, and enjoy helping others locate and photograph the grave markers of their own family members.
Researching the following family names: Bayes, Beall, Breitung, Burmester, Cook, Coonce, Craven, Ernstmeyer, Hale, Heinz, Humphrey, Maycock Priestley & Woods (all names in my direct line) as well as Peeples, Setley & Sickler (names that spun off from my direct line and created many additional relatives). | |

 | RE: Infant Beall The name of the father was given in the cemetery index. As the child was still-born, I was unable to find a city record. | | | Chuck McKinley

 | RE: Ollie Himes If you will contact me at my e-mail address, which is posted on my account, I will send you the Adobe document I have. It's about 176 pages but will give you lots of info on some of the cemeteries in this area. It also has extensive listings for the Calvary Cemetery, Corder, MO. I only live about 3 miles from Corder, so anything you need I will be glad to help you with. Thanks.Added by Marilyn on Apr 10, 2013 12:31 PM | | | Dottie Meadows

 | RE: Corder Calvary Cemetery The records are maintained by Sarah Jensen. She did a full reading of the cemetery-some of the original records were lost in a house fire of a previous caretaker. Her phone number is-I will message you privately!

 | Corder Calvary Cemetery I went to the above cemetery over the Easter weekend to look for your requests. I pictured Ollie Himes' headstone but her death date has not been inscribed-do you want me to upload it or wait until it is inscribed?
Also, I could not find Fredrick Ernstmeyer in the cemetery and the cemetery records do not include him. They do include a William F Ernstmeyer (14 Sep 1850 to 12 Apr 1928). The records of the cemetery do not have any deaths in 1944. Are you sure he is buried there?
Let me know what you want me to do about Ollie.
