Bio and Links
Bio Photo The Raymond Public Library is located in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. We have undertaken the Temple Hill Cemetery Project, which is to have all burials in the Temple Hill Cemetery recorded on findagrave. Temple Hill Cemetery is owned and managed by the Town of Raymond.

Photos taken by Raymond Public Library were taken by staff and volunteers of the Raymond Public Library and may be used for personal and non commercial use.

Thank you to our volunteers for all their hard work on this project. We would also like to thank the Town of Raymond and the Raymond & District Historical Society for helping us with this project.

Death dates on Raymond Public Library memorials have been taken from the cemetery database which is available at the town offices. Other information may come from the headstones, obituaries, or information on file at the Raymond Pioneer Museum.

We adhere to the FAG Transfer Guidelines which can be found in the FAQ under "How do I get a relatives memorial transferred to me?" and "What if a member will not transfer my relative to me?"

DIRECT LINE relationships in the last four generations will be transferred on request.
EXTENDED FAMILY relationship (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) are not automatically transferred on request. However, they may be transferred at the discretion of the Raymond Public Library, if you can demonstrate that you have substantial and quality information to add to the memorial.
"FAMILY FIRST" - wherever possible we like to see the memorials go to the families, however, we hesitate to transfer memorials to people who are obviously just "collecting" and do not have quality information to add.

We will be glad to have you contact us with corrections or information that you would like added to a memorial.

Thank you for updating the website with her obituary! We now know this isn't the Florence we are searching for, but I very much appreciate the information!

On the website, I see a photo for Florence Smith's grave stone. The birthdate is April 10, 1916. Do you, by chance, have the obituary for this person?

Hi! This is another obit I happened upon recently. The Raymond Town office say they have no record of his burial. Do you have any ideas as to where he might be? Was there a local paper that might have covered his death?
Thank you

Lethbridge Herald July 26, 1945 page 11

Veteran of Two Wars Passes
(From Our Own Correspondent)
RAYMOND Arthur Pope, veteran of the Boer War and the First Great War, died last night and arrangements for the funeral will be made by the Canadian Legion, Raymond branch, of which deceased was an active member.

Mr. Pope has had charge of the collection of war salvage in Raymond and has done a very efficient job since this work was started.

Deceased had been working as a sheepherder for J. H. Walker and at times had operated a shoe repair shop.

He has no relatives here, but many friends. He was born in England.

Clemens Frank Buettner
I came across this obituary when I was looking through the 1930 newspapers.

Lethbridge Herald August 22, 1930 page 6
- Clemens Frank Buettner aded 3 years and 6 months
- son of Mr & Mrs C.W. Buettner
- Funeral @ Second Ward Chapel, Raymond, AB
- M.E. Christensen funeral director.

Logically this one should be @ Temple Hill. Do you have a record of this burial? If not, any idea where he may have been interred?

Thank you!
