RE: I think we are part of the same Keene tree!
I'll keep searching for something solid, thank you for the response, Betty! I am hoping that he is, in fact, their son. That would make this whole thing make sense :)

I think we are part of the same Keene tree!
Hi Betty Lou ~ I've been looking at the info you have on wikitree and I think we are related! Please contact me, I'm looking to confirm a Benjamin Keene born in KY around 1890, and is "perhaps" another son of George W Keene & Louisa Vicey Charles. Benjamin had lots of kids: Ralph Keene Sr (my Grandpa, Ben Jr, Lottie Mae, Jettie Fae, Roger, Pat & Flannery.

If any of this is a possibility please let me know... I've never met any of my family in KY and would love to piece together our history!

I hear rumors growing up that we were related to the McCoys, and I remember the name Asa and Randolph. Please help if you can :)

Kind Regards,
Stephanie Keene of Michigan

RE: Blevins-Keene
Thank You Betty Lou.

I have been looking for John Blevins forever and finally came upon his death certificate which indicates 1928 the internment at Grandfield Cemetery, Grandfield, but there is no headstone.

John's wife American Jane Belcher-Blevins died 1924 in Depew, Creek County, Oklahoma, but again I don't know where she is buried.

Four years apart and clear across the state from each other..sad...I hardly have any pictures of that family. It seems they are lost with others that can't identify them.

Betty Lou,

I am the Great, Great, Great Grandaughter of Rebecca Blevins Keene.

My Great, Great Grandfather is John Blevins who apparently in the census was born to a Rebecca Blevins in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of James Blevins.

Besides the census the only other thing I had to go by was a family member who gave me information that John Blevins had a 1/2 bother by the name of Jackson King, which turned out to be Daniel Jackson Keene. It made better since than the name Jack King, I never found a Jack King.

I am uncertain about John Blevins father.
I have a photo on John Blevins only son, Julian M. Blevins, he was a handsome man. I would like to know where the looks come from, his unknown father or Rebecca Blevins.

Do you have any information you can share with me?

I wonder if you could tell me, us, the location of this cemetery? I'm descended from Ruel Priest via James Patton. Thank you!
