I am from dewey davidsons side of the family. my father was James Davidson. My brother was Jay Davidson.I live in Michigan Your tombstone stands among the rest Neglected and alone The name and date are chiseled out On polished marble stone It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn You did not know that I exist You died and I was born Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood and bone Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so I wonder if you lived and loved I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot And come to visit you
RE: Dewey Davidson i believe my grandfather, william earl, was dewey's 1st cousin. i live just outside mount vernon, in.
to request a transfer of a memorial, it's best to use the "edit" tab at the top right of each memorial. then click on the link that says "suggest a correction...." make sure you click the CC box to send a copy to your email. find a grave requires that we transfer memorials that are siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to the requester....so make sure you tell them how you are related. of course, they might be related in the same range too. but in case you don't hear back in 30 days, you forward the email you sent to yourself to edit(at)findagrave(dot)com.
i'm transferring your grandparents, brother and g-grandmother to you.
RE: James W Davidson So glad that I helped in some small way. I hope you clicked on the picture in order to see it better. If you have a picture or obit, I would love to post it. Many thanks for your note, Sheryl
Dewey Davidson I noticed your flower for him today. Would you like me to transfer him to you? I'm barely related...at most a twice removed cousin. I also maintain the memorial for his 2nd wife, Alice. Just let me know if you'd like to manage either of them.
