I am a retired BSN, a widow, a mother, grandmother and soon to be great grandmother. I have fervently researched my family tree, finding lost relatives and great stories and photos that was thought to be lost forever. I also have helped other start their Family Trees and helped them research information for their tree. I am an animal lover that does rescue transports, home visits to place the rescued dogs in good homes and foster Norwegian Elkhounds. I was a Red Cross Volunteer for three years and found it very rewarding. I am from the New England area, but has lived mainly in SC since the early 1970's. Too much history has been lost for all of us and anyway I can help a family locate a part of their Family History I feel I have added to the knowlege of that family that they can share with generations to come. Looking forward to helping find graves

Dear Lucille,
I just saw the pic you posted of Elias' headstone! You are amazing, and I can't thank you enough for your effort to obtain the picture for me. I would love to see what pics you have and I will send you my e-mail. I hope all goes well for you next week. My husband just got out of the hospital Thursday, and we have a week ahead of follow-up doctor appointments. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you recover quickly. Reading your profile on Find A Grave, I would like to pick your brain for advice on finding more of my ancestors. I have hit brick walls on several of them even though I have a lot of information. It is very frustrating.
Stay in touch...I will too.

Thank you for your response, Lucille. I appreciate the time and effort you spend to take these photos and post them to Find A Grave. It's very possible that Elias' headstone is broken or covered with debris since it is an old cemetery and these are very old graves. He most likely is buried there since his wife and daughter are in this cemetery.
I hope your surgery goes well and you will be in my prayers. Again, I thank you for providing information for family research. Elias is my gg-uncle. Ancestry and Find A Grave have been invaluable in my search for my ancestors.

Hi Lucille,
I found a photo on Find A Grave today memorial #25477932. The page is for Elias Franklin Elrod, who is my gg-uncle. Looking at the photo, however, it looks to me like the stone is for his wife, Mary Howard Douthit Elrod. Do you know if a headstone exists for Elias?
I look forward to hearing from you.
